Description	Rabbit Primary Vein Fibroblasts from Cell Biologics are isolated from the vein tissue of New Zealand white rabbit and grown in gelatin pre-coated tissue culture flask with Cell Biologics Complete Growth Medium. Cells at passage 2-3 are harvested from flasks and cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen. These cells are characterized by their spindle morphology and negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-5 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells are not recommended.

Application	Rabbit Primary Vein Fibroblasts can be used in assays of standard biochemical procedures performed with cell cultures include RT-PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent flow cytometry, or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

General Information	Rabbit Primary Vein Fibroblasts are tested for negative expression of von Willebrand Factor Expression/Factor VIII, cytokeratin 18, and alpha smooth muscle actin. Rabbit Primary Vein Fibroblasts are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded for 3-5 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.

Storage	Cryopreserved cells are shipped with dry ice overnight. Upon arrival, transfer frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180°C) immediately until ready for use. Live cell shipment is also available on request. Primary cells can never be kept at -20 °C or -80 °C freezer.
