Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) was induced in mice using 4NQO. This cell line shows green fluoresence and expresses a range of epithelial markers. MOC-L2 carries a missense mutation in the DNA binding domains of p53 gene. These cells are clonogenic, in vitro, and have tumorigenic properties. Western blot, qPCR and IHC were used for epithelium expression, GFP tag, EMT and stemness markers, as well as to confirm the murine nature of the cells. As these cell lines are derived from C57BL/6 mice, they are useful for studies investigating OSCC cells with other genetically modified cells, as well as, OSCC pathogenesis.
