Monkey Primary Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells from Cell Biologics are isolated from Cynomolgus Monkey skin tissue and grown in gelatin pre-coated tissue culture flask with Cell Biologics Complete Growth Medium. Cells at passage 3 are harvested from flasks and cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen. Monkey Primary Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial are characterized by immunofluorescence staining with antibodies of CD31 (Catalog No. ab9498, Abcam), VE-cadherin (Catalog No. sc-28644, Santa Cruz, or Catalog No. ALX-210-232-C100, Enzo Life Sciences, Inc.), or use of fluorescence-labeled acetylated low-density lipoprotein (DiI-Ac-LDL) uptake (Catalog No. L-35353, Invitrogen), a functional marker for endothelial cells. These cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma and can be expanded for 3-5 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended. Monkey Primary Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells can be used for cell-based adhesion, migration, vascular tube formation, transendothelial resistance (TER), western blot, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence flow cytometry, polymerase chain reaction, and generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.

Application
Cynomolgus Monkey Primary Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells can be used in assays of cell to cell adhesion, migration, vascular tube formation. Standard biochemical procedures performed with endothelial cell cultures include RT-PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent staining, immunofluorescent flow cytometry, or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.
Disclaimer
Appropriate safety procedures should always be used with this material. Although Monkey Primary Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells are isolated from normal monkey tissue, investigators should handle the cells that they receive from Cell Biologics with caution and treat all animal cells as potential pathogens, since no test procedure can completely guarantee the absence of infectious agents. General Information
Cynomolgus Monkey Primary Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells from Cell Biologics display typical cobblestone with large dark nuclei appearance under light microscopy. Cells are tested for expression of endothelial cell marker using antibody CD31 (Catalog No. ab9498, Abcam), VE-cadherin Antibody (Catalog No. sc-28644, Santa Cruz), or VE-cadherin (Catalog No. ALX-210-232-C100, Enzo Life Sciences, Inc.) by immunofluorescence staining or FACS, or LYVE-1 (Catalog No. Ab14917, Abcam) by immunofluorescence staining. Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma. Cells can be expanded on a plate ready for experiments under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics. Repeated freezing and thawing of cells is not recommended.
