SRY (Sex Determining Region Y)-Box 11 or SOX-11, is the nuclear transcription factor that acts in regulation of embryonic development and in cell differentiation. It is a valuable tool to detect for SOX-11 expression in tissues relating to the development of the human central nervous system, medulloblastoma, and glioma. STudies has shown that SOX-11 can also be used as a marker in the detection of Cyclin D1-positive and negative mantle cell lymphoma, Burkitt lymphoma, and lymphoblastic lymphoma as well.
