Description	CDK4 controls cell growth during the cell cycle G1 phase. It is reported that D-type cyclin upregulates Cdk4 activity, whereas binding to the Cdk inhibitor p16 downregulates Cdk4 activity. Cyclin D-CDK4 complexes integrates various mitogenenic and antimitogenic signals and serves as sensitive and specific for atypical lipomatous tumor / well differentiated liposarcoma or dedifferentiated liposarcoma.
