Specificity: The S1P1 antibody is directed against a cytoplasmic loop of this receptor. This result is similar to the result we have had with other antibodies。Sometime have staining at the ER/nuclear interfaces, One interpretation is that the protein is associated with membranes, but for some reason not restricted specifically with the plasma membrane. There is little known, or published about this protein currently.Relevance: S1P1 , a Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid Receptor, binds sphingosine-1-phosphate and may control cell proliferation, survival, and suppression of apoptosis. Overexpression of S1P1 leads to increased cell-cell aggregation and overexpression of cadherins. S1P1 transcripts have been reported to be present in embryonic and adult brain, lung alveolar macrophages, vascular smooth muscle cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts and melanocytes but to be absent from breast cancer cell lines.
