Description	CD103 or Integrin ?E?7 is a human cell surface receptor integrin protein that is coded by the ITGAE gene. CD103 is usually expressed on T lymphocyte subset populations. The major ligand for CD103 or Integrin ?E?7 is E-cadherin present on the surface of epithelial cells and the cadherin and Integrin ?E?7 complex mediate migration, cell adhesion, and signalling for T lymphocyte localization. CD103 expression during malignancies increases, such as T-cell lymphomas and hairy cell leukaemia, 95% of intraepithelial CD8+ cells and 40% of mucosa associated T cells, whereas less than 2% of resting blood lymphocytes are CD103 positive
