Description	Cyclin D3 is part of the highly conserved Cyclin family. They are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in abundance throughout the cell cycle. Cyclins are regulators of Cyclin dependent Kinases (CDKs). Together, Cyclins with differential expressions and patterns, regulate mitotic events. Cyclin D3 functions as a regulatory subunit for CDK4 or CDK6, whose activity is required for cell cycle procession. Over expression of Cyclin D3 has been shown to correlate with early cancer onset and tumor progression.
