Binds to the proximal enhancer region of NANOG (PubMed: 15863505). Critical for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency (By similarity). Keeps neural cells undifferentiated by counteracting the activity of proneural proteins and suppresses neuronal differentiation (By similarity).
