Protein Function

Cytokine that may play a role in innate and adaptive immune responses. It induces various cytokines such as TNFA/TNF-alpha and IL8. It activates typical cytokine signal pathways of NF-kappa-B and p38 MAPK.

Background

Interleukin 32 (Il32) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IL32 gene. This gene encodes a member of the cytokine family. The protein contains a tyrosine sulfation site, 3 potential N-myristoylation sites, multiple putative phosphorylation sites, and an RGD cell-attachment sequence. Expression of this protein is increased after the activation of T-cells by mitogens or the activation of NK cells by IL-2. This protein induces the production of TNFalpha from macrophage cells. Alteate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

4. Adjustable pipettes and pipette tips. Multichannel pipettes are recommended in the condition of large amount of samples in the detection.
5. Clean tubes and Eppendorf tubes.

7. Plate Sealers.
8. Capture Antibody Diluent: PBS.
9. Reagent Diluent: 1% BSA in PBS, pH 7.2-7.4, 0.2 µm filtered.
10. Substrate Solution: Tetramethylbenzidine
11. Stop Solution: 2 N H2SO4
12. Wash Buffer . Recipes:
PBS: 8g NaCl, 0.2g KCl, 1.15g Na2HPO4, 0.2g KH2PO4, adjust the total volume to 1 L with distilled water, pH 7.2-7.4, 0.2 µm filtered.
PBS-T: 0.1% Tween® 20 in PBS, pH 7.2-7.4.
