EMEM (Minimum Essential Medium Eagle) represents a cell culture medium which was developed from BME (Basal Medium Eagle), suited for the propagation of a wide variety of cell lines. Cell growth is supported due to the addition of Sodium-pyruvate as well as Non-Essential Amino Acids (NEAA). This culture medium is recommended for adherent cell types. The Buffering capacity ranges from pH = 7.2 to 7.6. Each lot of EMEM (CLS designation MG-10 has been tested for sterility and absence of Mycoplasma and Bacteria. The manufacturing process and documentation are performed according to ISO9001:2008 based on GLP under strict quality control.
Maintenance
Keep refrigerated at +2°C to +8°C in the dark. Freezing as well as warming up to +37°C minimize the quality of the product.
Do not heat the medium to more than 37°C or use uncontrollable sources of heat (e.g. microwave appliances).
If only a part of the medium is to be used, remove this amount from the bottle and warm it up inside a separate device.
