Plant total phenol is a common secondary natural metabolite in plants. There are several kinds of phenolic compounds, such as hydroXybenzoic acid, hydroXy cinnamic acid, flavonoids, chalcone, flavonoids, lignin, coumarin and astragalus. Phenolic compounds are antioXidants that delay or prevent oXidation and oXygen radical reactions.

Dilutions
It isrecommended to take 2~3 samples with expected large difference to dopre-experiment before formal experiment and dilute the sample according to theresult of the pre-experiment and the detection range ( 0.4-50umol/L ).The recommended dilution factor for different samples is as follows (for reference only): Sample type Dilution factor, Human serum Mouse serum Rat serum 10% Mouse liver tissue homogenate 2-3, 10% Rat lung tissue homogenate 10% Mouse heart tissue homogenate 10% Rat spleen tissue homogenate 2-3, 293T cells 10% Epipremnum aureum leaf tissue homogenate 1. Note: Thediluent is reagent 1.
