Transcription factor that forms a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. Critical for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency. May function as a switch in neuronal development. Keeps neural cells undifferentiated by counteracting the activity of proneural proteins and suppresses neuronal differentiation.
Specificity
Natural and recombinant Mouse Transcription factor SOX-2
Subcellular Location
Nucleus
Detection Range
0.156-10ng/mL
Entryname
SOX2_MOUSE
Linearity
The linearity of the kit was assayed by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentration of SOX2 and their serial dilutions. The results were demonstrated by the percentage of calculated concentration to the expected.
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay):Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Intra-Assay CV: ≤6.8%
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays):Three samples of known concentration were tested in five separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.
Inter-Assay CV: ≤7.9%
Protein Name
Transcription factor SOX-2
Recovery
Recovery was determined by spiking various levels of SOX2 into serum and plasma .
